Day 2 down!

YAY!  I finished day 2 of my couch to 5k program... take 2!  I was originally planning on doing a run/run faster sort of program but I quickly realized that this was not going to work for me.  I switched to doing the program the way it was written.  Now that I have a running base, I can do the running portions faster.  The first time I did the C25K 4.5 was my run on the treadmill - this time around I'm doing 6.0.  WOWSER is that hard!  My legs are KILLING me right now!  I LOVE it!

Today was actually the best day I've had in a long time!  I ate very well and I ran very hard!  I even took pictures of all of my meals to post!  I'm happy to report that I have 7 points left and I plan on having dessert!  So here is what I ate today:

Breakfast: 1 slice of low sodium bacon (it is AWESOME - VERY low sodium and tastes awesome!)  1 egg, 1 egg white scrambled with lots of broccoli, red bell pepper, and carrot.  Coffee with 1 equal and 2 TBS of FF creamer - TOTAL: 4 WW points

Lunch:  turkey burger with a half of a slice of low sodium bacon chopped up and mixed in the patty (WOW was this awesome!) I grilled it on the gas grill - it was PERFECT!  2 slices of dill pickles, 1 TBS ketchup - well, not REALLY that much, but I screwed up my counting so I just went with it) lots of broccoli - TOTAL: 11 WW points

Dinner: 1 cup pasta, 1/4 cup turkey gravy, 4 oz turkey breast chopped up and sauteed, broccoli (not much though, I screwed up the broccoli as only I could do) TOTAL: 10 WW points

I had a LOT of watermelon today, if I got hungry, I had some watermelon.  It really helped curb my appetite! It also helps tame my sweet tooth!  I also had some blueberries with 4 TBS FF cool whip - that was 1 point.

I have so far had 9 glasses of water - I'll go and get my 10th after I finish writing!

YIPPEE!!  I met the goals I set for myself yesterday!  I think I'll set goals for tomorrow too!!

1. Eat properly!
2. Get my upper body workout done
3. Drink 10 glasses of water
4. Post everything on here to keep myself accountable (wouldn't a McDonald's run be embarrassing?! LOL)

Aside from my healthful goals today, we had a busy day!  We had the roof torn off today - turns out the underlayment was bad.  That means the estimate was bullshit and we had to pay an extra $2000.  That hurt.  Let's just say, we could get a very nice used car with what we are paying for this damned roof.  They should get it finished tomorrow.  Honestly - I can't wait to see what it looks like!

My kids kept me on my toes with Colin's cold (and breathing treatments to help with his coughing) and the fighting to get some medicine into him.  Then Susie's stitches and keeping the bandages clean and dry and having to change them and apply ointment 3 times a day. PHEW I'm BEAT!  I just sent hubby out for some advil PM.  NEVER have my legs ached as bad as they do right now!

All in all, I'm proud of myself today!  I proved to myself that I CAN get back on the wagon after falling off!  I just had to pick the hay out of my hair and brush off some horse poop first!

Thank you for reading!  Have a WONDERFUL night! -Monica

It's hard to find Mom time when there are sickies in the house. Awesome finding a way to do it all! Keep it up!
