Missing my rings!!

I can't believe how much I miss my wedding rings!  I feel so naked without them!  Five more days and I get them back.  Even MORE awesome - on the same day I get my rings back - I get to pick my Mom up from the airport!  AAAAHHHHHH  I can't WAIT to see her!  This week is either going to crawl by (because I'm so excited to see my Mom) or it's going to FLY by (because we're so darned busy)!!  I have not decided which it will be - I suppose we shall see as the week progresses!  We've got 3 swimming lessons and a doctor's appointment this week - phew!  Not to mention a play date and I have to plan Colin's family and friend birthday party!  YIKES!

As for my running, I think I need to reevaluate my abilities.  I think 6.0 - no matter how much I want it - is not yet possible for me.  I'm starting the couch to 5k over again but this time I'm going to make my fast pace 5.0 or 5.5.  I'll have to see how it goes.  One thing I'm doing differently than the first bout of c25k - I'm setting the treadmill on an incline of 1.0.  I didn't know that running on 0 incline actually makes it easier than running outside.  That explains a lot actually!  I'm going to keep up with the hooping.  I'm not sure if I'm going to keep a long run on the weekends.  I don't want to overdo anything.

It dawned on me that I need to pick up the pace if I want to keep my 100lb in one year goal.  I'm hovering right around 50lbs down and I have 5.5 months left.  It's still doable - but I need to put my nose back to the grindstone.  I'm thankful that hooping makes exercise fun again!  I've heard it said that people tend to be more successful at weight loss in the winter or in the summer.  I am pretty sure I'm a winter kind of gal.  I HATE the heat.  I can't function when I'm not.  That and the heat makes my face pains act up.  On to that.....

My face pains were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad yesterday.  Hands down the WORST face pain day I have ever had.  It seemed like I had another pain every 20 minutes.  They seem to last longer and be stronger too.  I know I should probably start medication but I really REALLY don't want to.  I guess I'm just not thrilled at the prospect of being on medication for my entire life.  Especially when the pains come and go in bouts.  It's very frustrating and very painful.

Well, I'm calling it a night.  Hubby rented The Hunger Games - I read it but I'm curious to see how the movie compares to the book!!

Thanks for reading!  Have a wonderful night!! -Monica

  1. I realize this was a few days ago, but I wanted to comment anyway. :-) I loved reading the Hunger Games and thought the movie was really good. Much better than the Twilight movies.

Good job on your 50 lb weight loss! That's amazing. :-)

    1. Thanks! I read the first book - for some reason I couldn't get into the second one. The movie was GREAT! It was really close to the book! I've never seen Twilight - I just had no desire. Honestly -I think the two boys in Twilight are homely. HA!!!
